N belt chain bucket elevators are designed to vertically transport grain and products of its processing as well as seeds of other crops for a given height.

Kharkovprodmash company produces chain bucket elevators to transport the bulk products up to a height of 50 meters with the performance of up to 350 t/h, according to the category 1 of GOST 15150 in the climatic version "U".

The upper part of the elevator is called a head, the lower part is a boot drum. They are connected with elevator pipes. The frame of the boot drum and the head are covered with sheet material with a thickness of 3-4 mm. The traction element of the belt elevator is a belt with the buckets, which is tensioned by means of a take-up and drive shaft. When the elevator drive is turned on, the drive drum starts rotating, which starts the belt with the bucket.

The product enters the boot drum through the loading brunch pipe, where it is captured by the buckets and risen to the head of the elevator. When the belt moves around the driving drum, the grain in the buckets being under centrifugal forces, is ejected from the buckets and discharged from the elevator through a discharge funnel in the head.

Distinctive features of the construction of the elevators are the minimum number of welded joints; easy change of drive from right to left; easy change in the location of the inlet branch pipe; screw adjustment of belt tension; sliding adjustment of the elevator loading; the ability to manually clean the boot drum from the product.

In the head section there is a drive drum, lined with rubberized tape, which prevents slippage of the belt during the operation of the elevator. The inner surface of the head is lined with wear-resistant lining sheets, which reduces the injury of the grain, and increases the wear resistance of the body frame.

According to the design, the elevator has a two-tube body frame - the upward and downward branches of the belt are in separate pipes.

In the boot drum, the belt is tensioned by means of 2 tension screws, one for each shaft end of the tension drum. This design makes it possible to precisely adjust the position of the tension drum and to exclude the running-off during the operation. There are also two shutters, allowing easy cleaning while culture changing or blocking.

The construction of the boot drum provides the possibility of installing the blockage sensors and the tension drum rotation sensor. As a blockage sensor, a membrane level alarm is used. It is installed from the upward branch of the belt with buckets. As a rotation sensor, a non-contact switch of induction type is used.

The boot drum is equipped with an inlet branch pipe, which is installed on either side of the boot drum, depending on the type of the product to be fed into the elevator - opposite the movement of the belt with buckets or in the same direction. In case of loading the elevator from two sides, an additional inlet branch pipe is installed on the boot drum.

Various types of elevator pipes can be used as intermediate sections. The pipes are made from sheet material with a thickness of 2 mm:
An intermediate pipe serves to reach the elevator up to the required height.
A mounting pipe serves for easy installation of the belt, periodic inspection of buckets and belt, fastening and replacing the buckets. In addition, there are inspection windows, allowing to inspect and determine the condition of the buckets and the movement of the belt. Two removable covers provide easy access to the buckets.
A pipe for aspiration serves to connect aspiration.
An explosion-relief pipe allows the installation of an additional explosion relief device.

Gear type elevator drive is located in its upper part. Various versions of the drive are possible, both domestic (gearbox and engine or gear motor) and foreign manufacturer (gear motor). By way of installation, the drive mechanism can be located either on the right or on the left. When installed as a gear motor drive with a power of up to 15 kW, it is possible to mount it directly to the elevator head drive shaft, which significantly reduces the overall dimensions.

The traction part of the belt elevator is the rubber-fabric conveyor belt. Conveyor belts of this type have a rubber-fabric basis, with fabric used for their production.

It is possible to have a rubber coating on the upper and lower surfaces of the belt. It can cover both working and non-working surfaces and have different thicknesses. It is possible to choose the fabric basis: BKNL or TK-200 according to the GOST 23831-79 or EP of the European manufacturer.

NC chain bucket elevators are designed for vertical transportation of grain and products of its processing, as well as sunflower seeds, rapeseed, meal and other hot, dusty and abrasive bulk materials. They are used in elevators, drying-cleaning towers, granaries, mills, feed mills and oil extraction plants.

The traction part is a plate chain according to the GOST 588-81 with connecting elements for fastening the buckets. The traction part of the chain elevator is a plate chain according to the GOST 588-81.

The elevator can be completed with one of three types of the buckets: metal prefabricated (seamless), metal deep drawn (stamped) and polymeric.
